What’s Happening
While the majority of nationally available CD rates continue to tread the financial waters, three of the “Newly Added” CDs are new products. The most competitive of the new additions is the 9-month CD (4.60%) offered by Seattle Bank on the CD Valet website.
According to an email I received,
Exclusive offer for our email subscribers: Earn 4.60% APY* on a 9-month CD with Seattle Bank, not yet listed on the CD Valet website or available anywhere else. Secure this high-yield CD today.
The link I’ve included goes to the CD Valet landing page for the Seattle Bank 9-month CD.
FYI - Seattle Bank launched CD Valet in November 2022 as “A One-Stop Shop For Unbiased Certificate of Deposit Rates.” According to a Seattle Bank press release,
Key features of the site include daily rate updates and a “Promos” section spotlighting exceptional CD offers with unique maturities, rate-adjustment options and add-on capabilities. CD Valet also provides portfolio management tools to track earnings and maturities, as well as calculators to determine the cost of breaking an existing CD and reinvesting in a new CD for a potentially higher return.
This description may sound familiar to those who followed Deposit Accounts. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
