What’s Happening
First the good news – the Neighbors Bank Savings Account APY is still 4.60%.
Now the not-so-good news – a new Neighbors Savings Account cannot be opened at this time, but Neighbors Bank is putting a positive spin on this limitation.
First, some bad news: We're currently not accepting new Neighbors Savings accounts. BUT now some good news: You can be the first to know when our competitive rates are available. Enter your email address and get ready to stake your claim on a better savings account.

SPREADSHEET
The attached spreadsheet lists the current 100 best rates offered on nationally available savings accounts and Money Market accounts as of May 2, 2025.
icorego is the middleman company (DataCenterInc.) that offers services to community banks, such as taking in new account applications, as one example.
Data Center Incorporated (DCI) claims: "DCI is a leading developer of Fintech, core processing, and digital banking solutions. We strive to be an advocate for community banks nationwide."
It will be interesting to see if that direct link to the middleman company that facilitates new account applications stays up indefinitely, or if it does stay up, if it ultimately continues to lead to successful account openings. Between sometime in 2020 and sometime in 2025, new account openings at Neighbors Bank was not possible at all. They then created a different-titled savings account where they dropped the $25,000 minimum to get the stated APY this year, and accepted new account openings.
